Welcome to Ecofriendly tips
Hello guys! Here are some things you can do that are friendly for the environment and that will change the planet if we all do it on a daily base.
The products we use and where you buy them are essential for the environment. A lot of industries are using chemical products that end up in the ocean, they are deforesting to plant a massive amount of things, they pay a miserable salary to the workers and so on. These kind of industries are often the really big ones. It is better then, If we buy ecological products that are fair trade, if we make recyclable products ourselves and if we buy from little shops in our neighborhood.
Products you can do while your in quarantine and in daily life: - Homade dishwashing liquid with: baking soda, white vinegar and a drop of lemon essential oil. Tip: wash your dishes in a plastic bucket so you can water the plants after. The dishwashing liquid is ecological, so it won’t be an issue for the plants.- Make your own homemade soap with: olive oil, costic soda and essential oil of lavender.- Homemade washing machine product with: baking soda, vinagre, water and ph neutral cleaning base.- For the floor: you can use pine tree essential oil with white vinagre.- Homemade cream: bee wax, flour hydrolate and oils( olive oil, almond oil etc) and you can put a drop of essential oil( personally I would recommend rose oil, it smells incredibly good, although it can be a bit expensive)
You can recollect rain water putting buckets under you roof tiles, make a compost by putting all your organic waste mixed with leaves in your garden, buy a bamboo tooth brush, make some face wipes with tissue or buy organic bamboo wipes in a bio shop, bring a fabric bag to avoid buying plastic bags when you go for shopping... and if you are a woman, buy a mooncup instead of using tampons and compresses. You can find all these products in ecoshops or in online shops. Even if these changes are small, they will reduce a big amount of rubbish that we throw every day and will help to preserve the environment. One last tip: try to turn all your lights of once a week, like a little ritual for the planet
